Description
Made with a completely opaque glass, this flower is a rare one indeed!
The glass has wonderful streaks of blue / grey, dark blue and black across it.
It measures 15cm in diameter and it comes ready to hang.
This flower would be ideal against a contrasting coloured wall.
Suitable for indoors only.
Each piece of glass is individually cut by hand following the design. A glass grinder is then used to remove all the sharp edges and provide a rough surface for the copper foil tape. The tape is hand wrapped around each piece and burnished to secure it. When two copper foiled pieces of glass are lined up, they can then be soldered together with an additional bead of solder along every seam to add strength and to give a better finish to the overall piece. Every item is then carefully washed and dried, with some being finished with either a copper or black patina. Painted details are added last.
