Description
This heart is made with streaky blue and pink glass and is finished in copper.
The streaky navy blue and dusty pink have wisps of white running through them and add contrast to this beautiful heart.
The glass is transparent.
It measures 14 cm wide by 12cm in height and comes ready to hang.
Each piece of glass is individually cut by hand following the design. A glass grinder is then used to remove all the sharp edges and provide a rough surface for the copper foil tape. The tape is hand wrapped around each piece and burnished to secure it. When two copper foiled pieces of glass are lined up, they can then be soldered together with an additional bead of solder along every seam to add strength and to give a better finish to the overall piece. Every item is then carefully washed and dried, with some being finished with either a copper or black patina. Painted details are added last.
