Restoration

The images above show broken pieces of glass, bowing lead and pieces about to fall out (hence the tape) and years of general dirt and paint build up. One of the bird pieces had been stuck back on top of the lead and needed a really good clean too.

The finished result: clean shining glass, new lead and everything is once again secure and flat.

Panels can require small repairs, partial or full rebuilding. Every panel is assessed individually and where possible all original glass is kept. The nearest match of glass is used where the piece is just too broken and on rebuilds the lead came is all replaced. An old panel can have decades more life in it yet!
